Weekend relief and babysitting
ARC is presently working in partnership with Family and Community Services to offer better services for
weekend relief and babysitting time for parents of children with autism and other development disorders.
For parents
The Autism Resource Centre's role is to match families with interested providers. If you are interested in
a babysitter or even a weekend relief, contact us at autismresourcecentre@gmail.com
We will send you a form to fill out with all the information the person will need to know (needs,
medication, schedules etc.) Our candidates will have to fill out a form themselves, which can be viewed
by the parents.
Once the match is done, you have complete control to interview or question the person and decide if you
feel like going ahead or not. The decision is all yours and you should feel comfortable doing it. The
Autism Resource Centre is always available if you want us to help you through this process.
Interested providers
If you are interested in providing relief for a family of a child with autism or other development disorder,

Candidates are required to email their resume to the address listed above and fill out a form. These
forms which will be used for better matching purposes and can be viewed by interested parents.
Families will have a form to fill out as well with all the information needed which will be given to you on
your first meeting with the parents. (Medication, schedules, needs etc.) Remuneration is left to the
parents discretion and will be discussed with you before any engagements.
